BETHLEHEM, Pa. — For the first time since 2016 and the eighth time in program history, the Lehigh men’s soccer team has been honored with a United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award, which was announced to the public on Thursday after a successful 2018-19 school year in the classroom.
Lehigh was one of 344 men’s soccer teams in Division I, II and III to win the award for last season’s academic achievement.
At the end of last season, the Mountain Hawks had 14 players named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the program’s most since the 2015 season. Of the 14 honorees, freshman Dawson Berger and senior Ian Marshall had 4.0 GPAs in the fall.
For the 2018-19 school year, Dean Koski‘s team finished with a cumulative 3.18 GPA which earned them the Academic award for this season.
