What to expect?

Thank you for being a member of GFcrew! Between now and the end of January, we’ll begin migrating your old GFcrew account to the new GFcrew/LITE system. This includes all your jobs, customers, and their photos.

- Downtime 12am EST Dec. 14 - 5pm EST Dec.15: Event creation and customer registration on the old GFcrew (Capturelife) will be turned off. 

- December 15th: GFcrew/LITE launch! You will receive an email with a link to login to your account on the new system. 

- January 1st: Uploading photos on the old GFcrew (Capturelife) system is shut off.

- By the end of January: The transition will be complete and all images and data will be available in the new GFcrew/LITE.

Why are you making this change?

The new GFcrew/LITE is built on the industry-proven GFcrew/PRO platform. This allows us to:

  • Deliver more regular updates
  • Offer a more powerful, easier-to-use system
  • Provide a modern, polished experience for you and your customers
Will I lose my previous customers or photos?

No. All of your jobs, customers, and photos will be migrated into the new system. Nothing will be lost.

What’s new in the new GFcrew/LITE?

Plenty! Highlights include:

  • A modernized look and feel for both you and your customers
  • Immediate access to your money with real-time Stripe payouts and transaction visibility
  • New package types, including team packages and season passes
  • Sales Reports, better visibility into your sales
What will it cost?
  • Sessions under $100 → $5 per session + Stripe CC fee (same as today)
  • Sessions $100+ → 5% per session + Stripe CC fee
Will there be a print store?

No. GFcrew/LITE is focused on digital-only delivery.

Will there be a connection to a print lab?

No. There are no plans to connect GFcrew/LITE to a print lab.

Will I still need to upload via the Capturelife portal?

No! GFcrew is moving completely off of Capturelife. You’ll upload your photos directly to GFcrew using our desktop uploader (Mac or Windows).

How do I log in for the first time?

When you receive your email invite in December, you’ll click the link to set up your login credentials. 

What happens if I don’t connect my Stripe account right away?

You’ll need to connect Stripe before you can access your new account.

Can I still access my old GFcrew account during the transition?

Yes. You’ll have limited access until January 1st, when all customers and photos are fully migrated. After that date, the old system will be retired.

Will my customers notice the change?

Yes — and in a good way. Parents will enjoy a cleaner, more modern photo delivery experience, easier registration, and instant access to their photos.

Do I need new hardware or software?

No. The new GFcrew/LITE works with the same devices you use today. Just download the desktop uploader (Mac or Windows) for uploading photos.

What support will be available during the transition?

Our support team will be here to help every step of the way, with guides, tutorials, and direct assistance as you migrate to the new platform. Links will be available shortly.
